Sneaks the Therapy Dog

Sneaks is a 15 pound "Beanie" (Beagle and Dachshund mix)…

Sneaks loves to meet new people and will likely greet you at the door with a wagging tail. He enjoys sitting with you during your session and works for pets, scratches and space on your lap. Sneaks just loves getting close to gain your love. He will occasionally sneak in a kiss to the face and he is being trained to give hugs instead. He has certainly earned the name “Sneaky”! Sneaks loves his "cookies", which help him be a good listener. Sneaks is registered with the AKC and he is working hard to earn his GCC (Canine Good Citizen) Certification. No worries if you are not a Sneaks fan, he can sit out for the session as well.

Sneak’s Story

Sneaks is a triple rescue! He came from a kill shelter in Oklahoma to a local Illinois shelter. We adopted what we thought was a very "chill" year-and-a half old puppy who was recovering from a respiratory infection. Sneaks was so chill that at first we thought Sneaks was deaf! He just slept and wanted to be held all day and had no interest in toys, playing or in treats. When we took him to the vet, with our concerns, it was discovered that our sweet boy had pneumonia in 90% of his lungs. He would have likely died had we not adopted him. After a long recovery, we are left with a very smart and energetic, puppy who is bubbling with personality! We now understand why his previous owners named him Sneaks! Our tiny 15-pound "Beanie" is able to easily climb our 4-foot fence. He is able to jump onto the kitchen counter to steal freshly grilled meat. And when you can't find him, it is because he is so close to your heals that you don't see him. Sneaks has been a wonderful addition to our family and to Counseling for Serenity! We know you will love him too!
